Little Red in A Forest by ~bunnypudding
Starting as an in-class assignment made with construction paper, glue sticks, safety scissors (no joke) and probably half an hour, I recently scanned that sucker and revised it quite a bit in Illustrator.
It was meant to be a study in shape with a limited palette for making a successful book cover. I kinda wish I had done a better cut-paper version, but I’m not quite ready to dabble in that! Soon, soon…
Here’s the original “cut-paper” version, and the vector art revisions side by side:

My Best Friends by ~bunnypudding
These were created in Illustrator for my Illustration 3 class, Fall 2011. It was my second time using Illustrator, and it’s when I fell in ~love~ with it.
This is my final project for my Decorative Illustration class!
I used a template for the bag, created all the art in Illustrator, and then had a little too much fun cutting out sparkly bones, accents, and making (sewing and everything!) my own gingham bow.
When I was making it, I noted that this is probably a prime example of why people “have funny ideas about art school” (meaning they think it’s a joke,) but I just can’t seem to care when I am so delighted with the sparkly results. As a friend noted, “What’s the point of going to art school if you CAN’T make glitter puppies and call it professional?”
this is the first time a semester has ended, and i’ve actually wanted to
it doesn’t sound like much, but it’s an unfamiliar mindset, and i’ve actually been doing these things. feels good man
i also think i want to start baking again. i used to bake every other day, and when will moved to louisiana i’d start crying whenever i looked at my stand-mixer or recipes (i am a huge crybaby.) he’s been back for a while, and my desire to consume homemade cheesecake trumps my abandonment issues big-time.
on another note, i am headed to a friend’s cd-release space-disco party in the mission tonight, and i get to eat motherfucking caldo de pollo and all is right in the world
i want tacos

This is for Valerie! Sometime in December/January, I reblogged a post from her that said something along the lines of “put the name of your favorite Pokemon in my ask box and I’ll draw it to the best of my ability!”
She was the only person to send me a message, and I just now got around to making this because I am a jerk. I ended up using #ff5647 as the background color, which I saw her reblog a week or two ago from the “prettycolors” blog. Creepan!
This Cyndaquil is eating poffin, by the way…
just called loveline to ask if some dude she met on bart is into her (wut,) and now i’m thinking of all the 22 year old jennifers i go to school with
creepin’

My 5 page interactive storybook is finally done! It’s called “Captain Persephone and the Human Girl.” This image is a preview of page 1.
Please check it out here!
The story, art, and coding is all by me—sound and music is by William Blase.
i just laughed at that photo of the blurry pomeranian face until tears were streaming down my face
