Why oh why oh WHY are white women still doing this Mandingo fetishization bullshit for shits and giggles in 2012?

When I saw the picture, my first instinct was to roll my eyes. And not because Miley Cyrus annoys me even when she’s not pulling foolishness stunts like this.

How trite is the whole white-women-either-hooking-up-with-or-joking-about-hooking-up-with-a-black-man-to-be-“risque” thing?

And let’s be honest, what did that cake-picking conversation sound like?
“hey miley, should we get the peach one or the brown one?”
“omg obvi get the brown one duh hahaha they probably give u more cake that way anyway, get it?? LOL”

Ugh.

How often have we heard white women say they want to date a black man for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with that man himself? Everything from upsetting their parents to upsetting black women (yes, I have actually heard this) to how good that “BBC” must be, but not actually the man himself.
Of course this isn’t the case in every WW/BM relationship, but to deny that fetishization of Black men, and in particular the black male sexual anatomy, by white women is not only historically rooted but also ongoing is naive.

Listen, I get that sometimes girls do dumb things around friends, but I’m tired of seeing white women reduce black men to nothing but large penises. 

I think this is the most amount of butthurt ive seen on tumblr centered around the most mundane thing. Generally speaking I love my CHOCOLATE dick shaped cakes to be, well, chocolate coloured.

one look at that cake (with a chunk taken out) i can see the outer layer is most likely fondant, which is naturally white—but color is usually added for decorative purposes, whether by mixing it in or “spray painting” it on. also, the inside is red, which i assume means it is red velvet cake (which cocoa powder is a main ingredient of, but due to chemical reactions and food dye it becomes red.)

meaning—this cake was very intentionally designed to look like the weiner of a black dude, it’s not just “chocolate colored” because of chocolate frosting, or even because it’s chocolate cake (it’s bright red inside, and the inside of the fondant is barely beige!) even if one were to dismiss the whole white woman/black man penis fetishization issue, you can’t simply blame this particular cake’s coloring on flavor.

edit: additionally, i should mention red velvet cake is traditionally served with a cream cheese (or occasionally buttercream) frosting (neither of which is brown.) i am seriously craving a fat slice of red velvet cake, and regretting not buying any in new orleans yesterday.
